Barefoot Coaching Launches New Programme to Support Qualified Coaching Entrepreneurs

We’re excited to have expanded our support for accredited coaches with the launch of our first ‘Up and Running’ programme, designed exclusively for Barefoot Alumni.

The brand-new programme aims to help those looking to start, manage or grow their coaching business and is believed to be the first of its type, specifically aimed at coaching entrepreneurs.

Spread over the course of a year and delivered online, the programme offers invaluable insights and proven strategies from experienced coaches, established Barefoot Alumni and seasoned business owners who have successfully started and grown businesses.

The launch comes at a time when the coaching industry continues to grow, with an estimated 109,200 coaches worldwide in 2023, up by 53 per cent since 2019[1]. The increase follows the demand in the market, with every month, over 1.5 million internet searches made by those looking for life, business, and executive coaching[2]. This is reflected by nine in 10 coaching practitioners who said they currently have active clients.

Andy Chandler, our Managing Director, said: “We launched our ‘Up and Running’ programme because we wanted to do something different, create a platform where people can turn for help and resources after completing one of our accredited coach training programmes. It’s designed for anyone no matter where they are on their entrepreneurial journey, whether they have already launched a coaching business, still wondering whether to take the leap or looking to grow their existing coaching enterprise.

“We are continuing to witness a growing number of people looking to start a career in coaching, yet they lack either the confidence or resources to do so, so our programme has been tailored to help tackle a whole host of challenges people may face when looking to do so.”

The programme is available to anyone who is currently signed up for or has completed any of our following courses: ICF Accredited and University Approved Coach Training course, PG Cert in Coaching Supervision course or Team Coaching Practitioner Programme.

Over the year, delegates will have access to an online learning platform, The Barefoot Coaching Academy, which has seven modules presented by familiar faces from our community as well as other professionals from the wider network. Covering a variety of topics, including ‘Creating your brand’, ‘Finding your why’, Growing your business’ and ‘Celebrating success’.

The modules are paired with seven two-hour live connection and reflection events hosted on LinkedIn by Andy Chandler and our CEO and Founder, Kim Morgan. Designed to provide a space for people to connect, exchange ideas and share insights.

Andy added: “We designed the programme’s format in this way to give people the opportunity to learn at their own pace, as it is all available on-demand, it fits nicely around people’s schedules. The live events will be a great place for people to hear first-hand experience from experts who have started and scaled their businesses, while also giving them the chance to share their own personal experiences and challenges.”

Since establishing our headquarters in Castle Donington, we have significantly expanded the team and global reach, making remarkable strides in the industry over the past 25 years. Including the success of our flagship ICF Accredited Coach Training Programme, launched in 2001, which was one of the first university approved coaching programmes in the UK.

To date, we have trained over 5,000 coaches from 28 different countries around the world, with this number continuing to grow every year. In addition, we have a dedicated team of 150 associate coaches.

Andy continued: “The first cohort of the programme is already underway, and the feedback so far has been incredible. We’re looking forward to seeing the impact of this exciting new addition to our ever-growing coaching services at Barefoot.”
